World's Biggest Problems

This is a photo I took in Australia around the time of the Paris Attacks.
1.  I think one of the biggest world problems is terrorism.  Terrorism causes unnecessary death, destruction and harm to the general public.  I think that it is also a terrible world issue because often it is unexpected.  A possible solution to this problem would be to implement a notification system that can be used when suspicious activity is seen.
2.  Second, I think that global warming is a massive problem.  Global warming is caused by lots of neglect to the environment.  It is something that has grown to be such a enormous problem, I hope we aren't at the point of no return.  A possible solution would be to stop the use of cows as food.  Cows emit way more than half of the carbon dioxide pollution responsible for the destruction of the ozone layer.  I personally think getting rid of the cow industry is a lot easier than getting rid of every automobile we drive.  Getting rid of the cows also will cause less waste.  Cows are natural but, just in excess population.
3.  Another major problem would be the debt we, the United States of America, have gone into.  We owe China trillions of dollars and we are currently not cutting down on the amount of money we owe them.  In fact, each day it gets worse.  I think a simple solution to this would be to watch our spending and stop borrowing as much as we have been.
4.  Fourth, I think that the use of oil is a world problem.  We have used oil for about a hundred years and eventually it is going to run out.  I think that we must find an alternative before it is too late.  An alternative to oil would at least help the transition, to that alternative, before we are completely out of oil.
5.  I believe that pollution is also a major world problem.  Pollution causes the deaths of many animals and humans.  Pollution taints out environment and causes unnecessary problems.  A solution to pollution would be to put stricter bans on this act and also raise fines and enforcement for the issue.
6.  Overpopulation is also another world issue.  Countries like China and India are already feeling the pressures from overpopulation but, once it hits every country, it will be too late.  I think a solution is to implement laws on how many children you can have.  It sounds bad but, overpopulation is a real thing.  If something is not done, we will all die.
7.  I believe that water pollution is a massive issue.  Healthy drinking water is scarce and in danger.  It is amazing to me that healthy freshwater is not respected.  99% of the water on the planet is undrinkable and we still don't respect the 1% that is.  I think a way to solve this problem is to educate the public and also place more emphasize on protecting those sources of clean water.
8.  Next, genetic engineering is a big problem.  The use of GMO's is messing up the way food has been grown for all of time!  I don't think it is a very good idea to "fix" what is not broken.  I think a solution would be for the FDA to do more research and put more bans on this practice.
9.  Poverty is an obvious and clearly major world problem.  We shouldn't have people living in severe pain anywhere.  Lack of food and clean water is just terrible and I think this actually ties into the population problem.  Imagine how much worse this problem will get if we don't control where the world population is going.  A solution would be to decelerate the population growth and then attend to the needs of these people. That way, it will be more feasible to help the portion of the world population in poverty.
10.  Last, war and militant fighting is an issue.  Countries like Russia should not be invading a small land like Syria.  I think we live in a time of communication and need to deal with more things by talking than fighting.  All of this is easier said than done but, we should at least try.
